Privacy Policy
This page describes what puagame.site actually stores and why. It is short because the site is simple.
What we store
If you create an account: your username, display name, email address and a hashed version of your password (we cannot read it). As you play: your XP, rank, scores per scenario, win streaks, badges, the date you last played, the days you played the Daily Challenge and your daily streak, your Read the Signal scores, the XP you earn each week, your weekly quest progress, and a skill profile (how often you pick each kind of move, and how often your picks land at each stage).
If you use the 30-Day Plan: which days you have checked off and the date you checked off each one. Plan XP and badges are added to your game progress.
If you play as a guest (scenarios or Read the Signal): nothing about you is saved on our server. Your finished runs and rounds are kept in your own browser (local storage) as signed receipts, so you can add them to an account if you join or sign in within seven days. Clearing your browser data deletes them. We count guest plays in anonymous site totals with no identifier attached.
If you use Free Talk (members only): the lines you type and the character’s replies are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic or OpenAI, whichever the site is set to use) to write the next reply and the coaching. We keep the conversation only until it ends, at most an hour, and then delete it. We keep the number of messages you sent that day and the XP you earned. Do not type personal information into Free Talk. The provider handles the text under its own API terms.
If you make a challenge link: the link stores the scenario, the answer order, your display name (or the name you type as a guest) and your score for 30 days after it was last played. Anyone with the link can see the names and scores on it.
Ratings and analytics: we count starts, finishes, which moves are picked and thumbs up or down for each scenario, with no identifier attached.
If you use the contact form: your name, email and message are emailed to the site owner and are not stored on the site.
Leaderboards and profiles
The all-time and weekly leaderboards show your display name, rank, XP, wins and best streak to other visitors. The weekly board counts XP earned since Monday. If you finish a week on top, your display name is shown as Player of the Week. You can hide yourself from every board on your stats page.
Public profiles are off by default. If you switch yours on, your display name, rank, XP, wins, badges and strongest skill can be seen by anyone with your profile link, and the leaderboards link to it.
Once a week the site owner receives a summary email with site totals and the display names and weekly XP of the top players.
Cookies and your device
WordPress sets cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your name on forms. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address when the font files are requested.
If you install PUA Game as an app, your browser keeps a copy of the site’s styles, scripts and fonts on your device so pages load faster and an offline page can be shown. Rank cards and result cards are drawn in your browser, and the Find Your Level quiz runs in your browser too. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to share or save an image.
We send a welcome message when you join and password-reset messages when you ask for them. If you switch them on in My Stats, we also send a Daily Challenge streak reminder and a weekly progress email; each one has an unsubscribe link. There is no newsletter.
Deleting your data
Ask through the contact page and we will delete your account and progress.
Age
The game is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly keep accounts for anyone younger; tell us and we will remove them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
